How to Add SCSSD “App” to Mobile Device

The SCSSD website has the ability to become a Progressive Web App, which allows users to download the website as an App to their mobile device. In addition, you can “enable alerts” and start receiving timely push notifications from SCSSD, such as calendar updates and special event information.

The video below shows step-by-step instructions:

On your phone, go to your internet browser and visit the website www.scssd.org
On iPhone, click on the Share Icon (box with arrow pointing up) / On Android, click on Menu Icon (three vertical dots).
Scroll down, select “Add to Home Screen”
On next screen select “Add”
You will now have an SCSSD App icon on your phone. Click on the App on your home screen.
A dialogue box will appear asking if you would like to enable alerts for this device. To receive push notifications, select “Enable Alerts”.
Another dialogue box will appear to confirm you would like notifications. Select “Allow”.
